The weather lately has been very warm. We had a few hot spells (I say that loosely because in Vegas it gets way hotter than this) in Ellensburg. It wouldn't be so bad if we had AC in our rooms, but we don't. At least we have it in the living room, where Ben likes to keep it around 67 degrees (brrrrrrrrr). So half of my house is like fire, and the other half is like an igloo. I decided to turn the AC off today though because the weather has been cooling off to a more tolerable temperature. The girls could care less. They walk around in their diapers anyway, and snuggle up with a blanket if they are cold.
Things have been financially stressful for us lately. We have had to cut way back. Honestly, the cutting back has been okay for us. It's amazing the things you discover that aren't necessities when you don't have the money. The problem is scraping up just enough money to get by until the next financial aid disbursement. It's really frustrating being a poor college student, but I know that one day I will look back and miss these days. I'll forget all the worries I have now because in the future I'll know that I survived it all.
Ben has been doing excellent at school. I can tell that he is really devoted to getting good grades. His interest in the content of the class is apparent too. He likes to come home and tell me about what he learned that day. It's a wonderful bonding experience for the both of us. My classes, however, aren't going that well. Actually...that's not entirely true. I'm super picky about getting perfect grades on my assignments. I accidentally forgot about a quiz last night until after the due date. It really upsets me knowing that I missed 25 points!!! What was I thinking?! How did I miss it? I just haven't really been together this week. I'm desperate for a summer break I think...This whole online portion of my ADMG class really sucks big time. The cut off time for homework is a really super inconvenient time for me. But it's just another hoop I gotta jump through to get my diploma.....
We're on week #4....almost halfway through!!! I can't hardly believe that an entire month without classes is coming up....
